So we went to Hadley's first physical therapy appointment this Monday and I must say I was a little nervous. I was afraid that they were either going to laugh at me for bringing her there or they were going to tell me there was something horribly wrong with my child (like she had no femur bones). Once we were taken back to the padded room all my fears were quickly eased. I had to warn the lady that I was a pediatric ICU nurse and the fact that Hadley could breathe on her own and is not suffering from some heinous virus, made this whole not crawling thing seem like no big deal. Come to find out, Hadley really should be doing all this stuff she's not and my way of fixing it (but just having her learn to walk ASAP) is the worst solution in the world. I was in trouble for holding her too much and not giving her enough tummy time when she was little...the end result...a kid with no stomach muscles. So if she becomes an ax murderer the blames on me! Seriously though, they were super sweet and loved little Hads...and said she's totally fixable. However, after our Thursday appt., they might have changed their minds. Here she is doing her latest, greatest, trick. She was able to do this Monday night after her first PT appointment and I must say, it made Ryan and I believers! This girl will be swimsuit ready in no time with her abs of steel.

OMG she is a changed girl! How did they TEACH her that!? Can't wait to see you guys tonight!
Way to go Hads! Trust me, your therapist is prolly on cloud 9 to have such an easy fixer. Maybe if I went to PT, they could do something about my abs
We love you w/ or w/out abs of steel Hadley Jane! Love the new trick Though. Who knew holding your child too much was a bad thing? Nicely done mommy Dearest! ; )
In a couple more appt. Hadley will be skipping, patting her head, rubbing her belly, chewing gum, and talking on her blue tooth all at the same time. Oh yeah, and walking too.
super great trick! i'm so impressed! can't wait to see what she'll be able to do after the next appt!!!
i love you. you are the funniest. watching this video was a crack up. seeing her on her back gives me the giggles and then all of sudden she rolls over. now we just need to pull her back legs out from under her and keep her on all fours!
That was a great video clip...and such pefect form..the way she reached her arms across her body...you may have a gymnist in the making. I can just image you and Ryan's excitement watching her. There is so much pressure for these little ones to do everthing on schedule. I think new Moms are trying not to worry too much about all the little stuff which "most" times is a good thing. It has always amazed me the the things we do to our children without even knowing it. The best thing Meg, she is a well adjusted happy and beautiful baby.
again.. where is this coming from? Megan- you HAVE to know what i'm refering to:)
also what's so damn funny is how her arms are just spread eagle- making it even that more dramatic.
Meg - THIS IS SO CRAZY! I can't believe how quick she just popped up!!! That is unreal. I love the smile at the end. What a keeper. This video could actually be their sales clip for PT.
You are such a great mom. It was great to see you, Ryan and of course Hadley. She is SO cute. We will have to get together in A- town next.
maybe one-piece ready! I got to witness Hads new trick first hand and I must say it is amazing:)
Don't worry about her becoming an axe murder; I don't think Hadley and Lizzie Borden have a lot in common.
Hadley is one quick learner! We are so proud of her- love the new cool move. It's almost like she is trying to bring back a break dancing move or something! we love you miss Hadley!
I love the spread eagle on her back look. Tooo cute! I also love that her chapstick goes flying across the room so she can show off her moves. Very funny!
