has anyone seen our hadley?

The other day we took a kid to the park, we thought it was Hadley, but quickly found out we had the wrong child. The little girl we brought to the park ran over to the 'big kid' swing, jumped right on, and wanted to be pushed higher and higher.

Took off her shoes and walked BAREFOOT in the bark.

Smiled and giggled on this 'scary' ride.

And went down the slide with no begging, coaxing, pleading, or bribing.

So whoever has Hadley, feel free to keep her...this kid is way more fun.

let the fun begin.

Last, last, Saturday was Joc's Bachelorette Day. And being a gal that wants nothing ordinary, that's what we did...nothing ordinary. We didn't have to drink out of anything or eat anything shaped like a penis, she didn't wear a veil and prance around like a tramp in pink, no shirt to check off, or 'suck for a buck', and she didn't get 22 pairs of lingerie that would never be worn again after her honeymoon...much to Bennett's chagrin. It was a day that was so perfectly Joc. Started with us meeting at her favorite coffee joint, then a little pampering, lunch on the water, the unveiling of her dress, and finally, dinner with her 6 best girls and their beaus. Oh, and a lot of show-all-your teeth smiles, debauchery & drinking, gossiping & more gossiping, and hysterical laughter. Thank you Kasie for knowing our Joc so well and planning something so devine.

The night was a success! It ended with a McDonald's run, a sleepover at Joc & Bennett's, and my husband peeing somewhere in their house other than the bathroom. Now that's a good time!

the depths of my love for her.

i always give her the middle bite of my cinnamon toast....now that's love.

A date with the boys.

Went to our favorite spot (definitely rivals u-village), hung out in the sun, had a picnic with our two favorite boys, and watched kids and their folks get soaked in the fountain. Doesn't get much better.

happy 'bee' day Miss Kok.

Lauren turned three a week or so ago and had a bee themed birthday bash at the YMCA to celebrate. It was a hoot, and great birth control as 15 kids acted like wild maniacs for an hour and a half. I'm thinking we're going about this 'teen pregnancy' issue all wrong. Just send them to a kids birthday party one weekend a month and I guarantee they'll be a tad more careful.

Hadley thinks Lauren (Lo-Lo) is THE coolest thing since sliced bread.

2 little hooligans.

Last weekend we headed up to visit our dear friends the Johnstons in Anacortes (blog of the same name). Let me tell you, this family is such a breath of fresh air. The minute we walked inside their giant, newly remodeled, house, Nicole looked at me in all seriousness and said 'Hadley can do anything she wants, there's nothing she can destroy.' And just like that a weight was lifted off my chest, and a beer was cracked. Thanks you guys for such a fun, fabulous, gone much too quickly, night!

These girls got along great and were in drag most of the night.

Sweet little Grace. Little bro Emmitt was there too, but in his carseat crying because his parents forgot to feed him before we left for the donut shop:).

These two were in heaven! And I'm sure the donut store owner loved the souvenir of their dirty little fingerprints.
