Couldn't even tell you the last time we carved a pumpkin, but figured we should probably start so Hadley has one less thing to bring up in therapy. So we headed to an impromptu little shindig at some of our favorite friends house and carved our hearts out. Thank goodness there was no contest, because we would have lost...badly. Shoot, no picture of the finished product but think 'old school pumpkin'...as in two triangle eyes, triangle nose, and big gaping grin (with no teeth). Very vanilla.

Okay, just for future reference...Ryan doesn't need to carve with a murder weapon. They actually sell these little carving kits at the store that are super safe and easy to use. That way Hads will live to tell about it! Glad you had fun!
LOL! Kate, I was certain we would be driving across the bridge to childrens as any minute to sew my childs hand back on:). Maybe we'll have to carve with you next time.
Um, why did I think Hads was kissing me back - is she arching her back at me? Had...no more treats for you - J/K, I'd give this girl buckets of treats for even a high five. Your pumpkin came in 5th place. XOXO
hads and heather are truly good buds. hadley would NEVER let me hold her/kiss her unless i had a dozen cookies in my purse.
p.s. ryan should wear hats more often. love him in caps.
Joc - little did you know that I was bribing her for that kiss. She wanted ice cream CAKE and I said "only if you give me a kiss". Try Ice cream cake...totally works!
I prefer old school pumpkins and firmly believe the giant carving knife is necessary to achieve that look.
