38 weeks...say what?!
So baby is a little confused, a little lost, a little slow perhaps...but as of right now, he/she is upside down. Meaning it's little peaches are where it's little head needs to be. And that means...we 'get' to have a c-section, unless this peanut gets with the program in less than 9 days. We tried to have the doc move it...it's called an 'external breech version'. It should be called the 'worst pain of your life'. I definitely have a few ideas for Jack Bauer if he needs to get any info out of pregnant Russian spies.
At first I was a little sad, having Hadley was such a piece of cake and the actual part of the pregnancy I enjoyed (quite obvious I had an epidural, no? I loved my epidural. I wanted to marry it.). But now, I could care less. It is what it is and I just want this kid out of there safe and sound. So, we're scheduled for Monday, November 22nd...which means soon. Very, very, very, very, very soon. Yikes.

Nov 22nd is the new Dec 25th! WE CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!
How exciting!! A C-section 3 days before Thanksgiving is sort of genius actually. I'm picturing you all comfy on the couch, snuggling with the new babe, while family waits on you hand over swollen foot. ;) Can't wait to see pics of that new little Prentice bundle!!
You finally look pregnant!!! Gorgeous and perfectly perfect actually. I love these pics of you. I can't WAIT to see this baby, see if it is a he or a she, and see Hads with the dreaded little sib. Hooray!! Also, my good friend Laura flipped one of her twins close to delivery by going to www.spinningbabies.com. It really works! Just go to the breech part and then to flip a breech. Ry will love your new upside down moves! ;) Love you and am thinking of you a lot!! Let me know if you need anything! xoxo
Oh, and now that baby is breech I have changed my guess to BOY! ;)
darn, the flashlight didn't work? boo.
but yay for having a possible date!!! so exciting! and i'm going to be over the weekend of Dec 4th, so i'm sure you'll be up for visitors by then... right? :D
I love the sketch of baby in your belly, dying laughing. I agree w/ Auntie Val, we are SOO excited for 11.22 - it's like pre-Christmas. XOXO
But did you try Laurie's candy bar idea - after all, being a Prentice and all . . .
okay, okay...I am always game..went to website (don't suggest you do this Meg as for sure you will pee pee a bit in your pants) first of all the U-Tube couple should not be models for anything you might be thinking of doing, than there is talk of frozen peas, cardboard tubes, add that to the flashlight and candy bars up your you know what...before long I am sure hamsters will enter the picture. I am all for a reg delivery...but!!!
We are thrilled for you, absolutely thrilled that this little guy/gal is almost here!
Dying laughing BZ...too funny. And I agree. Yes, bring on the c-section damnit! We do NOT want hampsters entering anywhere near where I'm thinking. :)
i am soooo excited! you look so great!!! c-section is good, it gives you the full spectrum of birth experiences! i expect a text as always!
so so so excited.
love your little stick-baby, hope the actual baby looks like that :-) Wait, Hads DID look like that, but only bc you didn't realize you had to feed w both boobs...can't wait to meet baby TRYGVE...
My gawd you look incredible. So excited to meet your little breeched baby. Is it the 22nd yet?
You will be fine. C- sections scares are very cool these days. I have two kind of. I can explain and show you later.
No really Meg do not worry my friend. Just think how cool it will be when your baby comes out with a perfect round head. No cone heads on C- section babies.
Meg, take it from the biggest weeny you know... Sections are the BEST!! just make sure you take the pain meds. So great, one week left till we see this little bug! xoxo
Praying that little babe will randomly flip before the 22nd, but having had babies both ways, I can assure you, it is fun and different - welcome to the c-section club. The drugs are fabulous here. Ps - Peeing my pants with excitement - um, holidays with a newborn = heaven! Can't wait to hold your little babe who will be a pea compared to our growing beast over here.
1st of all,bs on being 38wks with that crazy cute figure. 2nd c section is a harder recovery but still has its perks. so if you have to go there... no worries.:)
