a fighter.

Mom.
You gave those Northshore teachers a voice.
You gave them hope.
And sometimes that's enough to make all the difference.
Trust me...I see it change lives daily.
(and you know our rules about 'trust me's').
You are our champion.
And there is never, ever, a day we are not proud of you.
I mean seriously, when you look at this picture...
you truly have everything you could ever need or want in the world.
Schoolboard, Shmoolboard.
xoxo.

Thanks for putting into words my exact thoughts.

ditto what Lis said - fools voted for the crazy "Karl Rove" campaigner - and sadly, the rest will get what those voters deserve . . .

We are all so proud of you B! A classy lady who ran a classy campaign (and didn't crap up the entire Northshore area with her campaign signs) I'm sure you will continue to make a positive impact on the school district, and I'm also sure the teachers and principals are sad you won't be on the board.

Absolutely, perfectly said. Their loss. Big huge loss. The extra time in your schedule BZ? Our gain. Granted, there isn't that much of it but it's worth every sterling minute. Meg - I've decided I want you to write my obituary. I'll even let you throw in some bad swears.

Want me to egg the opponent's house? They'd never suspect me.
