jump your heart out.

Hads is participating in Jump Rope for Heart at her school.
They are raising money to help fund research for heart defects and the sort, and also to teach kids about living a healthy lifestyle.
I thank Hadley's lucky stars that she is not pledged money based on how many times she can successfully jump rope.
If that were the case, we would actually end up owing the American Heart Association money.
Check her website.

haha! my 5 year old just flings the rope up and down while jumping and insists that he's doing it right. btw, love the Thrift Shop soundtrack :)

Go Hads! I can't resist a little kid raising money. That's why I have a $20 box of Boy Scout popcorn. Off to donate!

and so the fundraising begins... they do this on purpose. they have 'kids' raise money because we are all suckers and don't want to be that shitty person who is a scrooge. i liked it better when fundraising included a box of candy bars. nice job making a cute hip little video.. beats going door to door.

back to jumping for her!

As a veteran of years of fundraising, I like the ones that don't sell candy. I don't need it, and this one teaches kids some ways to be active and healthy as well as donating to a good cause

Of course, Worlds Finest Chocolate Bars and Samoas are the BEST.

Does it not kill you when athletics were such a HUGE part of our growing up years that we end up with this? Olivia is painful to watch sometimes. Thanks for the laughs!!

Zaides...she was going to fail regardless.
Amy...Painful doesn't even describe it:).
Joc...your candy bars are in the mail.
Lavs...the only kids I won't 'buy' from are the ones that come to your door and live 10 cities away....selling a $50 box of Swedish Fish.
Andrea...does he think he's amazing like Hads?
Sue...trust me, I have thought about sending her back.

I'm kind of loving Fiona's comment - and may have to match her (I think we are safe for now)
