I like these people.
Like really, really, really like these people.
Like really, really, really like these people.
Way more than I like camping.
However, each year, it's getting easier and easier.
(Camping. Not the people).
Maybe it's because my kiddos are getting older and safer to ignore.
Or maybe it's because we had Fireball Whiskey this year.
Either way...it was a blast.
As always.
And I easily won the "Most Improved Camper" Award.
And since I am giving out awards. Here are a few others...
Fiona: "Only person to take a six token shower" Award, and "Most likely to single handily buy REI out of all camping paraphernalia" Award.
Katie: "Meanest camping face" Award and "Most tolerant of Hadley constantly in her tent" Award.
Malia: "Most laid back camper, even when her daughter was rolling around in the dirt in her cute Tea Collection outfit" Award and "Most tent take-downs and set-ups in a 48 hour period...without a complaint" Award.
Aleah gets "Best at keeping her toddler alive" Award and "Most tolerant of her husband fishing all day while she had a hangover" Award.
Kelly and Peter get "Fanciest toasted bagels" Award and "Best cloth napkin set up" Award.
Oh, and since I am in a giving mood...I am also going to award myself with the "Loudest kid at 2AM" Award and "Craziest woman screaming at her husband at 3AM because her kid that was screaming at 2AM was still, indeed, screaming while her husband faked sleeping" Award.
Looking forward to next year.

Megs I am so proud of what you do. I am not a big worrier, but I admit there are times I see the pain in your eyes and heart and feel helpless. To know that all of these wonderful people are there with you gives this mom a lot of calm.
And you guys just made a lifetime of memories. So neat that you all get together for this. Even if a hotel would be better.
I totally would've been there this year if I'd known you were giving out awards!
I didn't win Most Improved Camper??
WTF... The mean face is JUST MY FACE.
That's just what I look like!
The only med I am bringing next year is B12. That stuff is f'ing amazing, a miracle drug.
We are really fun people. Too bad the rest of the campground didn't agree.
Oh, and FYI, I took 6 token showers twice and I think I occupied the bathroom for 45 minutes straight each time. My legs were shaved each day, my hair washed, dried, and flat-ironed. It may not look like it was worth it in the pics, but I felt a lot cleaner than I looked!
Kelli K., you get the award for most missed camper. Finn W. takes a close second place for that award, we really only saw him about 3 times the entire trip.
Fab montage, Meg. I needed to see it all again because its time for me to book next summer. Who's in?
