Actually we had TWO babies in a bar. Who says parenthood isn't fun? The six of us ventured out to the Montlake Pub a few Saturdays ago (okay, a LONG time ago). I was totally stoked to throw my kid in a pit of toys, and for us adults to just enjoy our beverages and, more importantly, each other...interrupted, for at least an hour...is that too much to ask??? The answer is yes, because a group of annoying, angry, stuck up, foreign, birthday party goers completely hogged the kid pit. So I was stuck with my kid, by my side, spilling drinks, and acting up. So much for that plan. Next time we go to the kid bar, the kids stay home.
Don't both babes look THRILLED to be there? And I'm looking like maybe I need a round of Tequila shots. I kind of don't do well when things don't go as planned. Shocking, I know.

Wait a cotton picking minute here. I thought you couldn't bring kids to a bar (in the lame liquor state laws of the state of WA)!! If you can bring them here, we want to know about it, pronto!!!

ouch on the mean comments from those childless drinkers. Perhaps they need a 'mean drinkers corral' for those folks. And why the hell didn't you count to 10 and make those people give your kids their space!?

when are we doing this again? perhaps we should bring a big kid to watch the little ones.. that way, we're parenting and having adult time.
I feel your pain. Whenever I take the kids out I always think what could go wrong and how can I prevent. Sounded like a great plan though.
