My dad REALLY wanted to take Carson to his first Mariner's game.
My pops LOVES baseball.
And I think with Carson as his only Grandson, all of his hopes and dreams are tied up into him becoming a ball player.
(I gently remind him that girls can play ball too, but he's too old to buy into that whole Title IX thing).
So they went and 'watched' the game.
And I think my dad was in heaven.
He kept texting me all the cute things Carson was doing.
Texting me that Carson is enjoying his second cup of dippin' dots.
Texting me about all the people that were smiling at the two of them.
Texting how cute Carsie looked in his jersey.
Texting me he just spilled his entire carafe of enchiladas and there is red sauce everywhere, and now Carson is running up the stairs.
Texting me that he really thinks Carson understands the concept of the game.
Texting me and asking when they can go to a game together again.
Needless to say, I am not quite sure who enjoyed it more...Carsie or my Pops.
But seeing that it's now September (they went in June) and they both STILL talk about that game, I'm thinking it's a tie.
And I LOVE that he had someone take this picture of the two of them.
LOVE.

Just today I asked Carson, "Are you going to watch the football game with your dad tonight?" and he replied, "No, I watch baseball with Baba!" That game definitely made a lasting impression!
