Now we're smiling! Here's how the story goes:
So...I have been complaining how ridiculously fussy our little Hadley is for a few weeks now. A good Mom would maybe look into this and try to find a reason, where as a Mom who works in an ICU at Children's Hospital doesn't think anything is that big of a deal, unless they are bleeding profusely, not breathing, or their heart has stopped. So a fussy baby yielded a lot of complaints, but not a lot of action by.
Last Friday, Ryan watched Hadley and she had the best day ever. I figured it was just beginners luck, but then realized he had fed her by a bottle all day. So I thought, well maybe she just likes a bottle better. I was right, and since Friday she has refused to nurse from me and will ONLY take a bottle. So I've been pumping like a mad woman and just this Monday realized that I only make about 2 ounces of milk from each side. A typical baby Hadley's age needs about 3-4oz every 2-4 hours. Now I'm starting to realize why my kid is only in the 17th percentile for weight. I would feed her from one side at each feeding, not both like you're supposed to (I didn't know this)...so she was only getting 2 ounces every 3+ hours...she was crying because she was STARVING!!! Needless to say, she's been getting 4oz per feeding ever since and she's a new kid. Thank God Mother's Day has already come and gone. I've taken all the tags off my new loot, so it cannot be returned:).

I think I laugh out loud at least once every time I read your posts. This will not be your first worst mom ever moment...there will be many more to come. Pumping sucks, that's all I will say. Are you now doing formula? You never get as much with pumping as you do when you feed them, so perhaps she was getting 2.5 oz. (Trying to make you feel better) I pump every night before bed since the little guy sleeps all night long and it has built up my babysitter supplies.
oh no, you are not the worst mom ever, not even close. Don't be so hard on yourself! Yeah for Miss Hadley, I'm glad to hear she's a happy baby -glad you got this figured out before July =)!!

NOT worst mom ever (yet) The Longinottis claim that title for me, since I locked all of them out of the house with no shoes or coats on one freezing winter day in Spokane when I had finally had ENOUGH of their crap for one day. But they got over it and so will Hads when you eventually lock her and her sibs out on the front porch. xxx Auntie Lavs P.
Just happy all of this was realized and out teeny little Hads can get some chubby limbs! YOU do great- You are great- and I love ya!
I am sure you've heard the saying "our kids survive (thrive) in spite of us new moms." Amy is absolutely right there will be many more stories to tell. Just ask Josie about her precious little Ryan falling out of the car in the middle of an intersection on Juanita Drive. Don't gasp...you heard me right..it happened and my kids love to tell the "worst Mom" story to as many who will listen. love ya Sandie B
LOVE it, so funny! In her own little way she was telling you that even Rudy's food looked good:) One day, I will be looking to you as my expert! hugs
I also laugh out loud every time I read or even think about your posts. This one takes the cake. At least you can admit it is just madness :)
Hey- put pics of Ruby the Suby on the blog
i just thought you were trying to keep her from getting the sundstrom legs - for the love of God - feed that child!
