such a phoney.

When Ryan and I first started dating I totally duped him.  You see, he thought he was dating this super mellow, cool chick, who was totally down to earth, loved the great outdoors, loved to camp, loved to hike, was thrilled to be on the back of his motorcycle (I know, my husband used to be a total badass...now he does hot yoga), and thought nothing was greater than driving up to the mountains every weekend to ski, in the rain and freezing cold.  I was just happy being one with nature.  And we all know how that worked out for him.
So now, I've gone on to dupe a new group of people.  My co-workers, and dear, dear, friends.  When they first asked me to go camping (two years ago) I said "Of course.  I love the outdoors, the fresh air, sleeping in a tent, not showering for 3 days."  And then I went home and said to Ry, "how in the hell am I going to get out of this?"  But I didn't, because I didn't want them to know I was a flake right off the bat, so I went...and here's the best part...I LOVE IT!!!  Maybe it's because these girls are so freaking cool, or maybe it's because their kids are absolutely edible, or maybe it's just because I get to have a few days with Hadley ALL to myself, where she can pretty much do whatever she wants, eat what she wants, get dirty, stay up late, and just have plain, old fun.
So see, being a total faker can often work to your advantage.  Of course, when I rolled up to that first trip at Deception Pass with 6 coats, a down comforter, a tub of licorice, and nothing else, I'm sure the girls were on to me.

Crap, you scared me. I thought this was your message to tell me you wouldn't go camping with me ever again. I'm going to book next summer right now.

I understand those pics are old BUt I don't even recognize Hads in some of them, she looks/is so grown up. She was doing an amazing job of taking care of baby Allie the other day, than disappeared upstairs..I thought nothing of my big girl/helper until I realized "wait a minute" what is Hads up to on her own...she is still only 3!!

I agree with you mom. Hads looks about 8 years-old.

I love that you're a poser. Love it.

Miss Sands, you just wait...the pics are going to get even older. I have a lot from summer to blog about. It should certainly bore you all to tears. You'll be wishing i was still private.

Let's play a little game...
"You know you're a blog stalker when..."
a)you think to yourself, Megan already blogged about this. Oh wait, that wasn't her.
b)you recognize lots of people in the pics, but you realize you've never actually met them
c)you are in Costco and have to do everything in your power not to wish the kid in the cart next to you a "happy belated birthday"...

God, I have a problem.
