HIP HOP HAROO...LCK IS TWO!

Our favorite little two year old is having her "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" today and we are as excited as she is. Lauren's got a smile that lights up the room and more personalities than Sybil Dorsett. Her sass and her spunk are what makes us love her so much and we wouldn't have her any other way. She's following in her Mama's footsteps of being such a great teacher...her are five little things Lauren has taught us about life:

1. You really should know where the snacks are in every house you enter.

2. If you touch her stuff...you're gonna get smacked.

3. Why not ask for everything we want. Sometime someones bound to say yes (especially if a grandparent is within earshot)!

4. Nudists really do have more fun.

5. Accessories are what make an outfit, or accessories can just be the outfit...either way, accessorize!

Rapunzel, Rapunzel....

Aunt Sue thought it was time Hads felt her hair blow in the wind, so she knit her this adorable hat. So cute! I really think my aunts/cousins could knit anything in the world.

Taking in a ballgame.

Hads was in charge of her own stuff.
Belly up to the bar.
Laughing at Pat...my Dad's date.
Cute new M's sweatshirt...courtesy of her mama. Hey, what are two gals to do when they get a little bored...and have few brewski's (me not her). Sarah, I know you totally get it:).

Cousins.

Three little girls posing on the steps. I think Tate's the winner for being the only one to ever actually look at the camera.

Day O' Weddings.

We had two weddings on Saturday...what are people thinking getting married on Memorial Day Weekend? Of course, we had no other plans, so it worked out well. And it being 80 degrees made it all the more fun.

Here we are at wedding #2, sans Hadley.

Be warned...

...you're about to watch a long, albeit rousing, game of peek-a-boo.

Dynamic Duo.

Look at these two little lovebugs. Hads is rockin' the 'Renee Zellweger' bee stung lip pose well.

Shoe Queen.

Look how excited she is with her new shoes! Of course, we will be taking them back because my oh so logical husband does not think a non-walker needs 'walking' shoes. But Ry, maybe this is the reason she's not walking yet, because she knows she's got the wrong shoes.

Heathie & Bogey.

Fancy pants (look at that cute outfit) Heather Conniff came over to dinner the other night to visit us...but pretty much, I think, just to see Hadley.
Bogey and Rudy hanging outside. They stood like stooges on the deck the entire time and finally when we let them in because they looked so pathetic, they were BF's and playing like wild maniacs. So back outside they went.

Funniest Home Videos.

Seriously, I thinke we could win $100,000 with this one. Almost puts the 'tippy-tonk' model video to shame.

We're still in shock!

Hadley is a full-fledged, real deal, no boot scootin', crawler! It only took her 14 months to figure it out, so we're thinking her first steps might be right around kindergarten. Which is fine by us, because we think she looks so cute with her big girl crawling.

Hate being alone.

Ryan's been out of town, so I invited myself to my folks Monday night. A good time was had by all. Here's a little moment with Hadley and her Baba. She follows him EVERYWHERE, stretches her Hads as far as they will go, and says 'uh, uh' AKA 'up, up'. And surpirse, surprise, she's always picked up.
All smiles.

Unloading the cereal cupboard, because at Z and B's there's no such thing as 'no'.

Lil' Buddies.

Lately these too are inseparable. Most likely because Hadley is constantly feeding him her snacks...
...as evidenced by this picture.

BBQ with the babe.

Sar and Hads yacking it up.
Lately Hadley is obsessed with her "duce" and can't get enough. Which means she is forever leaking thru her diapers.
Sarah is a very bad influence. This 'tat' says 'spank me'. Ryan did not find it funny.
Walking and talking. Don't Sarah's new floors look fab!!!

So in love.

Hadley watched my dad mow the lawn like this for at least 15 minutes. Can you believe it? She doesn't want her Baba out of her site.

The Zoo.

So I don't have too many pics because I was too busy dodging dangerous animals myself, but here are the girls at the Zoo for Zaide's Birthday. I think Hadley may have my same zoo phobia (Lavs check out the real name for this), because here she is reaching out for Zaide. But Maddie's wearing her brave hat.
Little chicks.

Oh how I love her.

That profile gets me everytime.
Such a ham.
Loves to empty any and everything.

Octopus Mall.

So these pics didn't turn out too great, but I saved this to the blog earlier and I'm desperate for posts. Here's Hads giving the whale kisses.
Lauren being a maniac. The kid can climb anything in record time. She's quite a talent.
Hads tries too, but doesn't have quite the same success.
Just hangin'.
Hadley watching the big kids.

Daily chore.

Oh the joys of having a big black lab. Seriously, this is one days worth of hair.

Mom.

10 Reasons Why I Love Your Guts:
1. For the rest of my life whenever I say "I'm bored, I'm hungry, I'm tired, etc.", I'll here your little voice saying..."well Hi Tired, I'm B-Z Davis. Nice to meet you."
2. You always put little cards in my lunch box just to say 'I love you and have a great school day'. I always pretended like I was SO embarrassed when other kids saw them, but they made me so happy...in fact I still have every single one.
3. You always give the best advice. My favorites: "be whatever you want, just don't be boring." and "You were given many gifts Meg, but singing was not one of them."
4. As a teenager you had a rule 'if you get into trouble, and can't drive home, CALL US, no
questions asked.' I remember twice doing this, and the next morning I dreaded waking up and going into the kitchen. And all you said was "babe, thanks for turning a bad decision into a good one, i love you." And that was that.
5. You are so LOUD, whether it's putting away the dishes or letting out a huge laugh, the entire room will know about it.
6. You have an opinion about everything and aren't afraid to share it...regardless of how unpopular it may be. I envy this SO much.
7. You can make anything fun and turn everything into a game. I remember many boring car trips became instantly less miserable with a rousing game of 'The Minister's Cat" or doing chores in record time, just hoping to beat my last personal best, while you counted down the seconds.
8. You always lead by example. Whether it's donating blood, being an important part of your community, or simply bringing a gift whenever you visit someone at the hospital. These things do not go unnoticed.
9. The look on your face when you're around Hadley gives me butterflies and having her has made me truly understand how much you love me.
10. You make me so, so proud. I love being B-Z Davis' daughter and although I'll never admit it again after today, I LOVE when people say I remind them of you...because you're pretty damn amazing.
Happy Birthday Mom! You look fabulous.

These make me smile.

Last week my Mom couldn't watch Hadley so she arranged another sitter...GG Shirley. Here they are eating lunch. My Gram cut everything into the teeniest, tiniest pieces, it was so cute. And when we got there she had taken everything down from the toy room so Hads could play. And let me tell ya, this gal has every toy in pristine condition from way back when my dad was a babe. Hadley was in heaven. Looking at GG Bob.
"Gramps, what the hell is that on your hand?!"

TKO.

Hadley was at PT on Thursday and about 30minutes in she gets really sick and tired of Kathy and I "fixing" her moves. So this time she decided to really let us know, catapulted herself forward, and hit her little mouth square on the corner of a bench. Oh the horror, those that know her can only imagine the ear piercing scream and there was blood everywhere! Needless to say, she got to do whatever she wanted for the rest of PT that day.

The winner.

Here's the photo I picked to have blown up to a 16x20 wrapped canvas print for mi madre. I know, it's fu*#@ng huge, but she loved it! Tears and everything. Funny thing about this picture was that we hadn't even planned on taking pics of the 4 of us, it was just going to be Hads and Mads. I love perfect mistakes.

H & M photoshoot.

For Mama's day I hired (cost me a tall latte with syrup) my best gal Joc to take photos of the babes to give as a present to my Mom. It was quite an event and the girls did great. One did A LOT better than the other...and I'm sure you can figure out whom. But from these great photos you would never be able to tell that it was nap time for one. Thanks so much JB, lets get those business cards ready!
