She's crafty.

Since Hadley is now in the "hair club" (a club exclusively for kids with hair, I guess...don't know I made it up), Auntie Val and Lauren made her her very own hair pretties. She LOVES them and wants them in ALL the time...except for the minute I put them in and then she wants them out. But Rudy and I wear them with gusto! Thanks for thinking of us V & L, they are the most adorable little clips and are the hit of every morning when we brush our hair. I think the Bothell Street Fair may be calling your name next June...I'll take 15% and help manage the booth!

Made me smile.

She had Hadley cracking up and giving out kisses like nobody's business.

More museum fun.

Sunday Mads and Hads had a date at the museum.
Good God she's cute, can you believe that maniac hair. LOVE IT!
He is probably the biggest dork I know and loved the museum the best. At one point he was actually sitting in the child size spaceship and playing some video game, while kids all around him were crying because they'd all ready counted to 20-one thousand and he didn't 'get off'. Kipper, you make me smile and Mads is going to love what a 'kid' you are.
I LOVE THIS PLACE...NO RULES!
Last fountain pic for the rest of the year...I promise.

Party on Wayne.

Saturday night us girls went to Nettie's Seattle wedding reception. The husbands used their 'get out of jail free' card and didn't have to attend, so Sar and I went with the babe.
I see London...
This girl needs no training, she's WSU ready.
...but then of course it's never too early to learn the fine technique of the keg stand.

i love all 18 months of you.

i love that you ask "where's Rudy?" in your tiny raspy frog voice first thing when you wake up. i love that you could read the same 10 books all day long. i love that you are a little frankenstein walker. i love that you don't cry when you get shots at the doctor. i love that you hate having your hands dirty. i love that you have the most perfect nose i've ever seen. i love that you never say no when i ask for a kiss. i love that when you say "poo-poo" you have the cutest little smirk on your face because you know it's a funny word. i love that you adore your grandparents. i love that you throw tantrums when you're just too tired to deal. i love that you love bedtime. i love that you have a favorite blankie. i love that you are obsessed with babies and every time we see one you yell "HI BABY!" i love that you only warm up to people you know i like. i love that you give us a run for our money. i love that you're not perfect. i love that you love me best. i love that you love all sweets and devour them. i love that you know the word "mine" and use it frequently. i love that you say please just as often. i love you in your pj's. i love that you are the queen of 'skinny skat'. i love your big teeth. i love that i could sit here and type all day long about all the things i love about you.
you will always own my heart Hadley J and i love that feeling.

Okay, okay...

I know...enough pictures by the dirty stove. But this is kinda cute. I was upstairs and it got quiet downstairs, never a good sign. So I head on down quietly and see Hadley once again in her snack drawer with Rudy close by. She's saying "Rudy bite? Rudy bite?" Then she looks at him and said..."NO, Rudy seat! Rudy seat!"...so he sat. And then he got smacked on the head. Wish I had a quick camera to catch the whole sequence, but I'm sure you catch my drift.

Whoa baby.

2 months.
6 months.
12 months.
18 months.

The kid is huge...32.5inches tall (75%) and 26.9lbs fat (82%), but her head takes the cake at 19inches (86%). No wonder it took her so long to do everything, it's hard work holding that noggin' up.

Go ahead call 'em.

Went to U Village the other afternoon to get some presents for lots o' birthdays coming up...and, unfortunately, had to bring my partner in crime. She's never much up for sitting in her stroller and shopping quietly. So I got smart, and went loaded with suckers. I've never seen either of us happier. I got a lot done, she got a few cavities...but the trip was a success. And I'm sure some uppity, foo-foo, vegan Seattle mom called CPS to report me. So be it.

We are both obsessed...

...with her new little UGGS. Aunt Michelle bought these for Hadley for her first birthday and FINALLY we get to wear them. She just kept looking down at them and smiling the hugest smile. And when it was bath time she looked at me and said "no bye-bye shoes" and ran away. Can't blame her.

A broken record.

First thing in the morning Hadley goes to her little snack drawer and says "I WANT BITE!" And she continues to say it ALL DAY LONG. I am not kidding, it is non-stop. Then is so happy when she gets her treat.
And promptly heads to her seat.

Ridiculous.

It is way too early in September for it to be this cold.

The Museum.

Took Lauren and Hadley to the Children's Museum in Seattle on Sunday...they are just getting to be too much fun. Ryan and I are very happy with ourselves that we were able to keep track of both of them, feed them, and keep them both happy...sometimes it's harder than it sounds. Of course, they were bribed heavily, maybe that helped.

Lauren in the 'kiddie' room, she was a little rowdy for the babies, and jumping around like a maniac. Then she'd get up and say "Auntie Meg, I be gentle."
Fire Marshall Bill
Really we need to just go to Babies R Us and let Hads play with the strollers, this is where she was most content.
Toasting eachother.
Candy! We told Lauren she could pick out ANYTHING in the candy store and this is what she wanted, one measley stick of watermelon candy, this was only after first picking out one single jolly rancher (which we talked her out of)...she's got a long ways to go.

Smoething about black and whites and the backs of people...just can't go wrong.
Me and the monsters.
Ry and the monsters.
Now this kid 'gets' it. She had the grasp of death on that necklace.
These two have become such little buds. Hadley kept walking up to Lauren and saying "I want bite," and Lauren would happily oblige. Then she would look at us and say "I gave Hads candy, I love Hads." She's the cutest! Thanks for letting us steal her Val and Kev.

Heart-warmer.

These aren't the best pics, but such a cute moment caught. The guy is head over heels for her, that's for sure.

Buds.

This goes on all day long. Rudy looks so pathetic and knows Hadley is an easy target. Although, he does have to put up with a lot from her. She's constantly telling him NO with a bop on the head or pointing her little finger at him and telling him to "SEAT" (sit, but says it seat). The funny thing is...he does it. She's quite bossy.

Tuesday night lights.

Ryan and I are on a flag football team. We play Tuesday nights, under the lights at Juanita HS. Way too late for Hads, so Baba came over to babysit. Hadley was in heaven.
Meghan & Ryan
Pumped and ready to play.

Da Boots.

She's rockin' em.

Where's Hadley?

The suspense is killing me.
THERE SHE IS!
Always so proud when we find her.
