hood river, OR. {via an i-phone}.

For Hadley's mid-winter break we wanted to go somewhere other than here.
Initially we were going to head to San Diego.
But I hate to fly, especially with a two year old.
So we scrapped that.
Then we were going to go to Bend, Oregon.
Too far of a drive.
Then Portland.
Too much like Seattle.
Finally we settled on Hood River.
And it was JUST RIGHT.
We fell in love.
The kids loved the pool, the hot pot (hot tub), the trail walks, the toy store, the vending machine in the hotel, the arcade at Pietro's (the orginal Pietro's I should add), the morning breakfasts, and the endless amounts of movies/TV they got to watch (their brains should literally be liquified by now).
The grown ups loved the early nights, the lazy mornings, the 'no schedules', the runs along the river, swimming with the babes, the view, the small town, the 5 breweries that were in that small town, and the endless amounts of beer they got to drink (thanks to those endless hours of TV that was watched).
It was a match made in heaven.
We looked at houses for sale on our way out of town.
We talked about the schools the kids would go to, and where I would work, and how we could really, actually do this.
And then we came back to reality.
A reality that's not so bad...but it sure was fun to dream.
And this place was absolutely dreamy.
Let's make this Facebook official.
The Prentices' and Hood River are in a 'relationship'.

Wow.
That's a hell of a lot of photos.
My apologies.
Sincerely.
