boo y'all 2012.

Started the day with a treasure hunt.
And candy for breakfast.
Next up, jammies/pillows/sleeping bags and a pancake 'breakfast' at school.
Hadley thought it was SO crazy.
So, so, crazy that she had to nap after school in order to get ready for the 'big show'.
This one has an excitement limit, and by 3:35pm, it was met.
Cue the cousins, and some grandparents.
She found her second wind.
Sitting through dinner for Michael, the Dolphin Trainer, her Orca, and the Garden Gnome was pure torture.
But worth the anticipation.
These kids killed it.
And the littlest one figured it out pretty darn quick.
He ran everywhere like a wild man...always a few hundred feet behind the big guys.
But had no problem collecting his loot on his own.
It would go a little something like this:
Knock, knock, knock.
Door opens.
Carsie:  "Trick Treat."
Big smile when candy was placed in his pumpkin bucket.
Carsie:  "Day Doo."
And as he was walking away...
"Bye Bye Trick Treat.  Bye Bye Guy.  Bye Bye Trick Treat."
A fabulous night indeed.

Ry went as a fifty year old ex-con.

Bye Bye Halloween.
Hello annoying kids that ask for candy 652 million times a day.

halloween pre-funk.

The only gal I know that would have a photo booth, a bale of hay, and a house that looked just like Martha's at her impromptu Halloween party.
I was at her house the day before...and it was naked.
The girl is good.
Damn good.
And everyone had a blast.
Per usual.
And there are absolutely no photos of her.
Per usual.

drop off.

She's getting braver and braver at drop off.
She wants nothing to do with me walking her onto the playground anymore.
Last week she hopped out of the car without so much as a kiss.
I stopped her dead in her tracks and said 'Get over here sister.'
Her reply:
'Make it quick Mama.  Fischer is on the playground and I don't want him to see you giving me slobbery kisses.'
Sob.
It starts.

easy to please.

Here was his reaction to me telling him that he could not have any more juice...

And here was his reaction immediately after when I started turning the lights on and off, and on and off, and on and off...and on and off.

Boys are so very simple
Or stupid.
Perhaps both.
Most definitely both.
It may be what I love most about them.

happy birthday pal.

Happy birthday to the greatest thing since sliced bread.
And the second greatest thing next to a pile of donuts.
WE LOVE YOU.
Ridiculous amounts.
