utah. or bust.

Who knew 3% beer could create so much fun?
Actually, with these gals...EVERYTHING is fun.
(even getting sworn at in a restaurant...by the owner).
We've been best friends for 26 years.
And my bangs were the exact same then, as they are now.
Some things never change.
Especially these two.
Thank God.

time-out.

That's what we are doing this weekend.
Taking a 'time-out' from these god forsaken kids.
I don't know who is going to have more fun...
Us big kids being in Park City.
Or the little kids being at Nana's.
My money is on Nana's.
And I can guarantee there will be no 'nose against the wall' action this weekend.
Hard to throw fits when the answer to everything is yes.
I am looking forward to the exact same thing.
Ry, can I get this shirt?
Yes.
And this one?
Yes.
Can we sleep in?
Yes.
Can I have another cocktail?
Yes.
And another?
Yes.
And another?
Yes.
Oh my...this is going to be great.
For everyone.
(except maybe Nana and Pa).

right this very minute.

Morning time is easily the best part of my day.
Everyone is sleepy-eyed.
Everyone seems so little.
Everyone is a tad shaky.
Everyone has good manners.
Everyone is well rested.
Everyone is happy to see each other.
Everyone lets me drink my coffee in peace.
It's a good start.

thick as thieves.

These two are always looking for each other.
They are always pushing each other out of the way.
They are always sharing snacks with each other.
They are always wrestling each other.
They are always in the way of others.
They are always in trouble with others.
They are always needing to be cleaned up after by others.
These two were made for each other.

sleddin'.

My niece and nephew are always cool.
But for the first time ever...
my kids were cool too.
Okay, let's not get ahead of ourselves.
Carson would NOT walk in the snow to save his life...without crying.
(NO walk snow Mama, NO walk snow).
And Hadley would have nothing to do with the yellow sled...without crying.
(I WANT THE BLUE SLED!!!!!!!!!!!!!  LAUREN HAS THE BLUE SLED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I WANT THE SAME AS HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!).
So all of that made them less cool.
But besides being baseline annoying.
They rocked.
And Lauren and Ben always rock.
So it was basically just a typical day...but with snow.

Three tired kids.
Success.
